GPRS Inc. (Ground Penetrating Radar Systems) was contracted to perform GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) scanning and toning to locate underground utilities at Pearl Harbor, Oahu Hawaii.

The GPRS Hawaii branch worked with a local contractor and was asked to locate underground utilities prior to trench excavation at Pearl Harbor, Oahu Hawaii. In this area it was essential for the contractor to not damage any underground utilities such as the electrical, water, communication and/or gas lines that run through the desired trench locations. GPRS Inc. was able to locate and mark the underground utilities onto the surface of the asphalt and concrete so that the excavation could be performed without damaging any marked-out utilities.

With Ground Penetrating Radar Systems' reliability and trusted accuracy in locating underground utilities on dozens of previous projects for this contractor, GPRS was immediately called upon for this work. GPRS arrived on site within 24 hours to perform the work the contractor required on short notice. GPRS used GPR and Toning (Radio Detector) equipment to locate any utility and marked directly on the ground in real time. This provided just what the contractor needed, so that they were able to safely excavate though the concrete pada and soil without compromising any marked utilities or personal safety of the workers.
