Ground Penetrating Radar Scanning To Locate Reinforcing Steel In Lihue
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC. (GPRS) of Hawaii was contacted by a large general contractor to locate the reinforcing steel, cables, and conduits in a concrete slab prior to core drilling and anchoring. GPRS was able to locate and mark the reinforcing steel and cables onto the surface of the concrete so that the core drilling could be performed without cutting through any cables. Unlike conventional X-Ray, GPR is not limited to a specific size of area at each location.
Ground Penetrating Radar locates man-made objects underground and can accurately and nondestructively see through solid materials.
