SCANNING AND TONING WITH GROUND PENETRATING RADAR

GPRS Inc. (Ground Penetrating Radar Systems) was contracted to perform GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) scanning and toning to locate subsurface utilities for future roadway in Honolulu, Hawaii (OAHU).

The GPRS Hawaii branch worked with a local GC (General Contractor) they have worked with many times and was asked to perform a subsurface investigation scan for utilities in Honolulu, Hawaii (OAHU). In this area it was essential for the GC to locate any underground utilities in the future roadway. GPRS Inc. was able to locate multiple utilities in the desired area and add the located items to a Google Earth map. This map was then presented to the GC as a PDF for their records and future reference of the location of the found utilities.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems' reliability and trusted accuracy in locating subsurface items is why GPRS was called upon again for this work by the same GC. GPRS arrived on site within 48 hours to perform the work required on short notice. GPRS used GPR and toning equipment to scan in real time. This provided just what the GC needed to move forward with roadway work, in a safe and cautious manner without compromising the safety of the workers.
